Orosei, the heart of the Barony

Between the sea and the foot of Mount Nevertheless, it raises Orosei, lying flat on the reclaimed river Cedrino. The magnificent views of this coast, now high, with cliffs overhanging the sea (in the neighboring territory of Dorgali), now low, sandy and surrounded by pine forests, Mediterranean vegetation and cliffs of pink granite and basalt. Its quality has been recognized by the conferment of the five sails by Legambiente. And you can not forget that we are in a protected area of high naturalistic interest: The National Park Gennargentu - Gulf of Orosei. The coast of Orosei includes 14 km of beaches that stretch from Osalla (topped by the homonymous Nuraghe) until Bidderosa wildlife oasis, where you can access a limited number of people daily. The nearest beach is Marina di Orosei, 3 km from the town. In its vicinity is well worth a detour Cedrino the pond created by the river, which has a rich birdlife. To the south is bordered by the beach Osalla, whose shoulders lies the pine forest. Northward stretch more beautiful and popular beaches like Fuile 'and sea and Cala Liberotto, white beach bordered by cliffs of pink granite. The pink granite also characterizes the beaches of Cala subsequent Juniper, Sa Curcurica (is closer to the pond) and Bidderosa, which marks the border with the territory of Siniscola. Boasting a privileged, Orosei can also complement the wonderful excursions into the seas to the discovery of the Barony of the villages, all Galtellì, picturesque natural landscapes and historical monuments.
